CLASS 27th Annual Golf Tournament Cancelled

Community Living Association for South Simcoe has made the difficult decision to cancel the 21th Annual Golf Tournament held at the Nottawasaga Inn Resort scheduled for August 19, 2020. The obvious concerns and unknowns surrounding us with the pandemic and its potential effects on everyone was the driving factor in this decision.
We know that local businesses and people who have supported us in the past are or may be struggling in the months to come. With this fragile and financially challenging climate we felt this was the appropriate action to take at this time. While this will be a disappointment for many of our players, sponsors, community supporters, families and people we support we are confident this is the right decision.
We are very grateful for those of you that have already made a financial commitment to sponsor the event, donate, or sign-up to play. In the next several days we will be reaching out to our you all about a number of options available.
Thanks to the generous sponsors, supporters and volunteers like yourself, the CLASS tournament raised close to $40K last year. We thank you for that support which goes towards providing programs and services for people living with intellectual disabilities in our communities.
While we have canceled our August 19th tournament, we will be in touch shortly with a new date for 2021 and hope it to be the best and biggest ever! Thank you again for your support.
Stay close to home. Stay safe. Stay connected.

Executive Director

John and Janice Milne, Pastor Patti Rodgers and the community run the fundraiser for CLASS every Monday from September (second Monday) – May (second Monday) from 11:30am-1:00pm. They sell homemade soup, dessert and coffee or tea for $3.00 and all the proceeds will go to CLASS. Last May we raised $4,500.

CLASS Donation Program

CLASS provides support to a segment of the population that often go unnoticed or seem to be invisible to most people who are not directly affected by having a family member, friend, or neighbour with a developmental disability. The individuals we support want the same things in life we all do – to live in a safe environment where they are cared about, and to be included and accepted in the community that they live in. Currently, we are looking for funding / donations for these areas / programs:

  • Under ADULT AND YOUTH Program: WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE VAN, Resource Center, FYI Program, SIL Program, Bradford Community Program, Bradford Group Home.

If you are interested in areas that CLASS needs donations/sponsorships for on an ongoing basis please:

Third Party Fundraising

Add Some CLASS to your Fundraisers!

The Community Living Association for South Simcoe (CLASS) is fortunate to enjoy the generosity of so many people and organizations in the community. Frequently, people spend their own time and money to organize a fundraiser to benefit us. These fundraisers include everything from in-store promotions to bake sales, car washes and more.

CLASS is a non-profit charity organization that supports people with intellectual disabilities. We rely heavily on donations to fund our programs and services.

By hosting a third-party event you can promote your company through our Facebook, Twitter and local media campaigns, receive tax receipts where applicable, and have the satisfaction of knowing that your company has made a difference in the lives of people in our community!

If you would like more information or are interested in hosting a third-party event, please give me a call!  Barbara Barta, Marketing and Communications Manager at 705-435-4792 ext. 291 or by email at
